Kotoko Confirms Talk with Nii Adjei

Kumasi Asante Kotoko are currently in talks with former TP Mazembe midfielder, Daniel Nii Adjei according to the club’s management member Nana Kwame Dankwah.

The Porcupine Warriors are keen on augmenting their squad with their former captain Daniel Nii Adjei as they target to conquer the continent.

The 29-year-old is without a club after terminating his contract with Moroccan top-flight side Wydad AC by mutual consent in May and is keen on a return to his former club Asante Kotoko

He left the shores of Ghana in 2007 to join Congolese giants TP Mazembe on a five-year deal and winning laurels with the club before ending his contract with them

“It is true we are in talks with Nii Adjei on a possible return to Asante Kotoko,” Nana Kwame told Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM
“Nothing concrete has been settled on because we even doing consultations on such recruitments”
“These consultations are done with the technical bench and so whether he will be signed or not will be influenced by coach CK Akunnor’s input”

Nii Adjei had a successful spell at TP Mazembe where he won the Congolese top-flight league, CAF Confederation Cup, CAF Champions League and the CAF Super Cup.
